My Thoughts on The New Fantastic Four Movie!
Hey everyone! So, I finally watched the new Fantastic Four movie, and honestly, I went in with really low expectations because of all the negative things I heard. But I came out of the theater room with nothing but positive things to talk about!
What really got my attention from the start was the fantastic 1960s futuristic vibe. It totally reminded me of “The Jetsons,” and I just loved that aesthetic. The characters were great too. I especially appreciated the brotherly dynamic between Johnny and Sue, and how they portrayed Sue and Reed’s relationship. Even Ben Grimm, The Thing, was really well done in my opinion.
I love how each character played their role at their own designated moment, no one tried to outshine the other. I also really enjoyed how we got to see a bit more of their every day lives as both, individuals and super hero personas. The music was really good, and the story just flowed nicely. I thought Galactus was visually impressive, though I wished he’d been a bit more menacing. Overall, given some of the recent Marvel films, this one was definitely better than I expected. I also liked that it felt like a standalone movie, so you don’t need to catch up on a bunch of other films/shows to understand it. I would like to say that this movie is great for anyone to enjoy, whether you’re a Marvel fan or if you just like superhero movies in general.
Oh, and I have to mention the awesome Herbie the Robot popcorn bucket I got! He has everything – a drink holder in its head, a candy compartment, and even a spot for popcorn in the back. Plus, he plays the Fantastic Four theme and has a projector!
