About a few day ago, I came across a trailer for a game entitled I Hate This Place which is based off of a series of comic books made by Kyle Starks(writer) and Artyom Topilin(artist), and even though I’m not familiar with the comics, the game looks like it’s going to be fun!
I really like the overhead view design for this game, as well as the comic style graphics that were used. I found that it gives it both a classic and fresh look. The story also seems to share a resemblance with The Last of Us, which I find incredibly interesting. But the funniest part? The main character, Elena, has a striking resemblance to me! When I first saw the trailer, I was genuinely surprised-we have similar hair and even the same style of clothes. It’s not everyday you see yourself represented in a game, and it makes me feel special. Now I’m definitely looking forward to checking it out and playing as a cooler, in-game version of myself!
